In order to protect the integrity of the Sapien social network, we need to verify that new accounts are created by people, not bots. If you do not verify your account, you will not be able to participate in the token economy or receive rewards for your posts.


When you sign up for an account with Sapien, you’ll be emailed a link to verify your email address, which you should click to proceed with verification. During the signup process, you'll also see a modal to fully verify your account on Sapien, which you can complete there or in your account settings.

Additionally, you can verify a mobile number in your account settings. Click your profile picture in the upper-right corner and then click ‘Settings.’



Find the field marked ‘Mobile number’ and click the flag button. Scroll down to select your country and type in your mobile number.



Once you’ve typed in your mobile number, click the ‘Verify’ link as shown and you should receive an SMS on your phone within a short timeframe.



Follow the instructions in the SMS message you receive in order to have your account go through the verification process. Once your account has been verified, and you have connected your wallet, your account is then enabled to receive and send SPN, Sapien’s utility token. Please note you won’t receive any SPN rewards until you’ve verified your account and connected a wallet.
